okay i am back from indonesia wheeee. well my maths tutor will be coming soon so i have to type damn fast la. anyway my shoulders have turned red and they HURT. because i went to the seaside and i didnt put sunblock there. haha. and i have turned browner. well my arms and legs i mean.Bintan is like so damn NICE. a paradise compared to Singapore. for one thing, Singapore sure doesn't have a 5 star resort like the one i stayed in and for another, it doesn't have a sea you would actually enjoy swimming in. anyway, we left singapore on saturday and we had to take a ferry to bintan. kind of apprehensive about it 'cos i used to get sea-sick when i was younger. but okay, no problem. for 45 minutes just sat by the window and watched the waves and listened to the zen micro.anyway if i did get seasick all i would have to do was to ask the koreans(loads of them) sitting around for seasickness medicine or whatever you call it. well, depending on whether they understood english or even chinese.my sister somehow managed to fall asleep. which i thought would be impossible 'cos the sea was kind of rough that day and the ferry was sorta bouncing on the waves. but whatever. so we reached the ferry terminal at 3.13pm (their time. they're an hour slower than s'pore) and we took a bus down to the resort. if you dont have a vehicle in bintan you might as well be dead 'cos it's a far cry from the concrete jungle and bintan's four times the size of s'pore. so, lots of fauna to see. telephone lines, yeah. pretty boys? yes, well, better not to mention that. we paid $100 extra for rooms with seaview and i'm glad we did. they had a balcony and i liked sitting there.and the design was more,er,relaxing? unfortunately the room was extremely dim. maybe they think that only honeymooning couples who Do It everyday will stay there. well they're wrong. i had to sit in the closet or toilet which had better lighting in order to read finish my book. the closet, for god's sake.2nd daywoke up at local time 7am (if you're a moron: Singapore time 8am) even though i was at liberty to sleep til noon. but i'm glad i woke up early, 'cos morning light and air is the best. had breakfast at the buffet thingo and had the chance to survey the other tourists. hm plenty of Caucasians ripening red from the sun. sad to say, obesity is a huge problem in their countries. most of them were fat. very fat. what Dove would call very real women. but if they are real women then what am i? fake? hah!anyway after breakfast (a very large one) i went to dunk myself in the sea. ahhh good waves. i want to go to the Dead Sea, or perhaps Maldives next. but i know one thing, we are going to Kangaroo-aboundo land this june or december. probably dec, since they have winter in june.and winter in melbourne is no joke. your ass would freeze off and your skin would start flaking off due to dryness. and melbourne is definitely colder than perth as it is near south. it is cold even in the summer. but whatever. i definitely enjoy cold weather as long as i have enough moisturizers and jackets. well anyway so i was in the sea and having nice big waves crashing against me. maybe i shouldnt have gone so far out where there were big waves 'cos after i got out of the sea my ass hurt and i could hear my bones sorta squeaking. and it hurt for awhile afterwards and i could hardly climb up the stairs or bend down or sit down. but since it was all better than having a doctor stick a needle into your right hand why make a fuss about it?well anyway after that i got kind of bored. so i just sat in the balcony for hours and hours and ogled back at the passerbys who ogled at me. why must they stare so? what's so strange about a girl sitting in a balcony trying to read The Hobbit? when she isn't being interrupted by big fat men throwing themselves into the 100m away swimming pool and causing loud splashes,of course.3rd Dayah, last day to savor the seasideness.woke up early again, had a slightly smaller breakfast and then stayed in my room to finish Roald Dahl's Boy: Tales of Childhood which is apparently his autobiography, or what he likes to call 'a collection of incidents that happened in my childhood that made a very big impression on me'. somefink like that. it was funny, and interesting, but i couldnt quite ignore the fact that Roald Dahl has a very big long nose, and that it got cut off once, and then smashed in another time. and after all that, he still didnt have a bump on his nose. I do, and the only time i got close to smashing in my nose was when i ran into a glass door. so anyway my sister decided to wake up, four hours after i did. and to pass the time while we waited for the ferry we went to the shops and bought stuff. on the way home the ferry was asked to stop, perhaps 200m away from the terminal in singapore because the coastal police wanted to check. for what, i don't know. but it pissed me off really badly 'cos the engines were off and the waves was strong and the ferry was bobbing on the waves. i say bobbing but really it was rocking on the waves. i nearly threw up on the lil girl in front. well anyway they didnt get anyone or get anything and they left. tada end of story.
room in a state of so-called chaos
where big fat men love to throw themselves in though the sea is only 50 m away
wow look at that!proof that i actually went near the sea.
[and that's when i knew you knew.]
